•  ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ ബയോളജിക്കൽ പാർക്കായ അഗസ്ത്യവനം തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലാണ്.
•  കേരളത്തിന്റെ തെക്കേ അറ്റത്തുള്ള താലൂക്കായ നെയ്യാറ്റിൻകര തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലാണ്.

•  കുമാരനാശാന്റെ ജന്മസ്ഥലമായ കായിക്കരയും ചട്ടമ്പിസ്വാമികളുടെ ജന്മസ്ഥലമായ കൊല്ലൂരും അയ്യൻകാളിയുടെ ജന്മസ്ഥലമായ വെങ്ങാനൂരും തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലാണ്.
•  ആശാൻ സ്മാരകം തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ തോന്നയ്ക്കലിൽ ആണ്.
•  തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ പ്രധാന സ്റ്റേഡിയങ്ങളാണ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി സ്റ്റേഡിയം, സെൻട്രൽ സ്റ്റേഡിയം, ചന്ദ്രശേഖരൻ നായർ സ്റ്റേഡിയം എന്നിവ.
